grüum is a trading name of Gruum Europe Limited. Any reference to “we”, “us”, or “our” is a reference to Gruum Europe Limited, a company registered in England at Unit 3, Brookside Industrial Estate, Stockport, SK1 3BJ and at Companies House under company number 09900344.

grüum is a provider of personal care products and accessories. grüum products can be purchased individually, at our recommended retail price, or via an ongoing subscription service, at a discounted rate. We showcase our products on our website www.gruum.com.

Acceptance of our terms & conditions

1.1 By accessing our website and/or creating an account you agree to be bound in full by these Terms and Conditions and other notices we make relating to your account and our services. At our absolute discretion we reserve the right, from time to time, with or without notice to you, to make any amendments and changes to these Terms and Conditions. The current version of the Terms and Conditions as displayed on the website when you access it will be fully applicable to you. Your use of the website or continued after changes are made means that you agree to be bound by such changes. These terms were last updated on 29 October 2020.

Products

2.1 Details of our products are contained on our website, including their ingredients and functions.
2.2 Care when using our products.
2.2(i) Our products are categorised according to their intended use: razors & shave, face & body, sunscreen, beard, hair and accessories..
2.2(ii) Before using our products you should always check the ingredients carefully and apply a small amount of each product to a non-visible area of skin and confirm to yourself that you have not had an adverse reaction before applying it fully.
2.2(iii) You should avoid the eye area with all of our products and in case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with water.
2.2 (iv) Extra care should always be taken when using any of our razors. They are designed to be very sharp and to slice through your hair. You should be aware that razor blades can cut skin as well as hairs. Therefore exceptional care should be taken when using them. We will not be held liable for any loss or damage that may result from your failure to do so. To ensure that grüum blades maintain optimal safety, we recommend changing blades every 5-7 shaves, or weekly – whichever comes first.
2.2(v) We are unable to guarantee that our products are completely free from allergens.

One-off purchases & subscriptions

Products may be available to purchase as a one-off order, via an ongoing subscription, or both. If you choose a subscription option, you will be shown the future price and delivery schedule at the checkout.

3.1 If you choose to purchase a product/products via an ongoing subscription, you will automatically be signed up to receive a regular delivery of our products. You can cancel, manage and make changes to your orders at any time via your account on the website.
3.2 By submitting an order via an ongoing subscription you are offering to enter a contract to buy the product(s) from us on this occasion and in the future on the specified delivery schedule; you cannot then withdraw or cancel your order except as specifically stated in these Terms and Conditions.
3.3 We reserve the right to not send certain combinations of products together in the subscription and to substitute products. We may do this at any time.
3.4 We may cancel an order at any time without providing reason.
3.5 All of our products are also available to purchase on an ‘one-off’ basis, without a subscription.

Paying for your subscription (where applicable)

4.1 The price of individual products is as quoted on our website. Your total subscription price is detailed in My Account. Due to inflation and fluctuating market prices, please note this amount may change over time from when you initially joined.
4.2 If you choose an ongoing subscription, we take payments by continuous payment authority. If your payment details change, your card provider may update your card details with us. We may use these new details for your future kits in order to help prevent any interruption to the service.
4.3 Depending upon the frequency of deliveries of your product(s) we will charge you either monthly, bi-monthly, or every three months, or at the agreed frequency.
4.4 Payment times may vary in the approach to a public holiday. We will advise of changes to payment times in My Account.
4.5 We are not responsible for any banking charges incurred by you due to payments.
4.6 All products are subject to changes and as such prices may vary from time to time. Therefore we reserve the right to amend the cost of any kit or product at any time. We agree to notify you at least 14 days in advance of any change in your kit price.

Creating an account

5.1 You will have the option to create an account when you purchase any products from the website. If you choose to sign up to a subscription, you will be required to create an account.
5.2 You are only allowed to create one account. You acknowledge that if you create more than one account and we incur time cancelling any duplicate accounts we are entitled to charge an administration fee as stated below.
5.3 You agree to ensure the information in your account is updated regularly with any relevant changes, including change of circumstances, addresses, contact information and billing details.
5.4 At our absolute discretion, and without giving any reason, we may refuse or cancel any application to create an account.
5.5 You are entirely responsible for all purchases and amendments to your account. If you know, or suspect, that your account has been accessed by someone else, or that it is possible that it could be, you must immediately notify us.
5.6 You, and you alone, are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. We will not be held liable for any loss or damage that may result from your failure to do so.

Administration fee

6.1 We reserve the right to charge an administration fee of £20 to cover our costs to amend orders, accounts and FOI requests.

Website availability

7.1 We do not guarantee that our website will be available all of the time and/or be free of faults or errors. If a fault occurs in the service, please report it to us and we will correct the fault as soon as we reasonably can.
7.2 It is possible that our website will not always be available. If you visit our website and it is temporarily (less than 24 continuous hours) unavailable our usual cancellation deadlines will still apply.

Offer & promotions

8.1 From time to time we may promote introductory offers. These may take many forms including, but not limited to, discounts, free products and free trials. Apart from where it has been expressly stated, previous customers do not qualify. Each account and individual can only use each discount or promotion once.
8.2 If you misuse a discount code or coupon, we retain the right to cancel the discount and charge the full price to the order and charge you the administration fee.
8.3 Special terms, conditions and exclusions apply to each individual offer. Please check specific offers for further details.
8.4 Where an order is made using a special promotion, delivery may be delayed beyond our usual time frames.

Cancellation of subscriptions (where applicable)

9.1 You can cancel your subscription at any time.
9.2 You can cancel the purchase of a kit at any time up to the day before the next billing date by visiting My Account on the website.
9.3 You remain responsible for ensuring that any such change or cancellation is not only transmitted by you, but received by us, in time for the deadline.
9.4 Due to the personalised nature of the products we deliver, you do not have the right to cancel an order for the purchase of a kit under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Delivery

11.1 Orders can only be delivered to full and correct addresses. You are responsible to check and confirm that the delivery address we hold on record for you is accurate and complete. If we are unable to deliver your order due to an incorrect address, we reserve the right to charge a re-delivery charge plus an administration fee.
11.2 You agree that we are not responsible for any delays, which relate to the delivery of orders.
11.3 You agree to report all lost or undelivered orders within 7 days of the expected day of delivery, via www.gruum.com/contact-us If you fail to inform us within 7 days of the expected day of delivery you will contractually be deemed to have received the order.
11.4 If your order will not fit through your letterbox it is possible that the courier will leave you with a delivery card detailing the location of your order. It is your responsibility to collect the order or to arrange re-delivery.
11.5 If the order is returned to us as you have not arranged to collect it we will not issue a refund. We also reserve the right to charge a re-delivery charge plus the Administration Fee.

Refunds & defective goods

12.1 If you are not entirely satisfied with any product you receive from us, please contact us at www.gruum.com/contact-us so we can arrange a return.
12.2 Unless a product is defective refunds are at our sole discretion.
12.3 Where a product is defective we will only issue a refund for that product.
12.4 We will not issue any refunds for any promotional products including, but not limited, to wash bags.
12.5 Where a product is free and you pay for postage and packaging only, we are unable to issue a refund for the postage & packaging charge if you wish to return the product.
12.6 You are liable for the cost of return postage. We always recommend using a signed-for delivery method.

Limitations on liability

15.1 Our liability for any defects in our products, service or kits is limited to the amount you have paid for that specific product, service or kit to a maximum of £50.

Applicable law

16.1 Your use of this website is governed by these Terms and Conditions and construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Disputes arising from your use of this website and the services we provide are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Assignment by us

17.1 You agree that we may assign any of our rights and/or transfer, sub-contract or delegate any of our obligations under these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions are personal to you and you may not assign any of your rights or transfer, sub-contract or delegate any of your obligations under these Terms and Conditions.

Accounts are non-transferable

18.1 Accounts with us are not transferable and therefore cannot be sold or traded.

No waiver

19.1 If we delay exercising or fail to exercise or enforce any right available to us under these Terms and Conditions, such delay or failure does not constitute a waiver of that right or any other rights under these Terms and Conditions.

Force majeure

20.1 We will not be liable to you for any lack of performance, or the unavailability or failure, of this website or our services, or for any failure by us to comply with these Terms and Conditions, where such lack, unavailability or failure arises from any cause reasonably beyond our control.

Third party rights

21.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions confers on any third party any benefits under the provisions of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
