A story about four friends from Manchester (that’s us!)… Four friends who decided to quit their jobs, invest their savings, and take on a multi-billion dollar industry. Big mistake? We hope not!
The lightbulb moment
Well, it wasn’t so much of a lightbulb moment, as a lighter-wallet moment. It all started with a business trip, a forgotten wash bag and an eye-watering visit to a local supermarket. Which got us thinking…
Why are razors so expensive?
Why are men’s grooming options so limited? Why is everything for men so, well, dull? Is it because high price = high quality? Is it because guys don’t care about their skin? Men are dull?
No. It’s because just 7 companies control virtually every grooming product you buy. It’s because of their enormous marketing budgets, fancy packaging and huge celebrity endorsements. Oh, and it’s because the retailers take a healthy cut, too.
A better way
So, fed up of being ripped off, we decided to take matters into our own hands. We knew there was a better way! We set about 12 months designing and perfecting the grüum range of shaving, skin care and beard products.
We pledged we’d only create products that served a real purpose. We’d cut out the gimmicks. We’d only use quality ingredients. We wouldn’t pay for endorsements and we’d serve you, our customers, directly.
We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve created at grüum, and we hope you enjoy using our products as much as we’ve enjoyed creating them.
